R.K.Celluloids celebrated the completion of 175th day of " Thenali" at a grand function in Madras on May 15th, 2001.
Added attraction was the presence of Rajanikanth as speacial guest at this function.
When KamalHassan spoke he said " B.H.Abdul Hameed, himself an actor, without bringing his recordings, brought the cassettes of his friend Balachandran and gave it me to train myself in Jaffna Tamil. Those cassettes are titled "Vaaththiar Veeddil". I played them over and over and prepared for my character "Thenali Soman" Just like our balachander, that Balachandran is over there and I have told about him to Rajani also"
I am not very proud because he mentioned about me at a grand function like this, but I am proud about an actor like Kamal to remember me and bold enough accept that my cassettes are helpful to him to do that character.. Thanks...Kamal !
