What I had to say about her....
It was in 1980, we acted as lovers in "Naadu Potra Valka", she was nice with me but bit aloof, Not like Geetha Kumarasinghe who was very friendly. We had a love song also with intimate scenes. She is very professional and very talented.
What newspapers say about her....

SWARNA MALLAWARACHCHI
Ever since her stunning debut while still a school girl in Siri Gunasinghe's Sath Samudura (1966), and ever consistent in her refusal to act in commercial films, she has become one of Sri Lanka's leading actresses in the serious, artistic filmmaking field. Her truly unique class as an actress is evident in films such as Vasantha Obeysekera's Dadayama (The Hunt / 1989) and Kadapathaka Chayava (Reflections in the Mirror / 1989), Dharmasiri Bandaranayake's Suddhilage Kathawa (The Story of Suddhi / 1984) and Bava Duka / Bava Karma (1997), Sumithra Peries' Sagara Jalaya (Letter Written in the Sand / 1988) and Prasanna Vithanage's Anantha Rathriya (Dark Night of the Soul / 1995).
Vasantha Obeysekera is another film- maker on whom one can depend on to give something new and refreshing. He also tries to look for a plot close to the heart of everyone. That's how he made the classic, Dadayama (1983 - with Ravindra Randeniya and Swarna Mallawarachchi turning out superb performances) based on the Adeline Vitarana murder case.
